A beginner-friendly, hands-on class where learners make chewy, freshly boiled bagels from scratch and pair them with homemade spreads. Perfect for those with little to no experience, this session covers dough mixing, shaping, boiling, baking, and preparing simple, flavourful spreads. Participants will bring home their handcrafted bagels and the skills to recreate them confidently. Bagel flavours include: Plain, Sesame, Earl Grey Milk, and Choc Chip Matcha. Spreads include: Fruit Jam, Strawberry Cream Cheese, Matcha Milk Spread. 

Learning points:

  • How to mix dough using stand mixer (pair work).

  • Learn about basic fermentation and proofing time

  • How to weigh and shape dough, and how to add filling in dough.

  • Learn how to make your own fruit jam, Spreads will be demo only

  • Baking temperature and duration

  • Storage instructions

Duration: 3.5 hours

Type: Baking Hands-on

Take-Home Portion: Bagels 3 each 4 flavours), 1 small tub of each spread (3 spreads)

This class will be conducted in English only. 

Equipment, tools, ingredients, apron and boxes will be provided. 

Bring a pen for taking notes.
